Having started out life planning to become a surgeon Charlotte Morgan fell into the photographic industry, leaving medical school to model. In 1993 she moved into representing fashion photographers launching Morgan Lockyer in 2002. Charlotte has progressed from fashion to advertising photography taking Morgan Lockyer from strength to strength simply because she loves photography, loves people and thrives on the challenges the advertising world brings. Morgan Lockyer is now one of the UK’s most respected and successful photographic agencies.
Charlotte joined the board of the Association of Photographers for 2 years in 2012 as a non-executive director as she believes in its ethos of protecting the rights of individual photographers whilst providing industry standards.
“I’d like to see printed work rather than just a laptop or iPad, most things look good on screen but most bill boards and press ads are still printed. I’m interested in pretty much any genre of photography except fashion and landscapes (lovely as landscapes are when was the last time you saw a commissioned landscape ad?)”
Charlotte can offer an honest appraisal on the commercial viability of their work, how to edit it, how to present it and what I think works and what doesn’t. She represent photographers across the board; cars, liquids, stills, portraits, lifestyle so she “has a pretty good idea what sells”!
